A Los Angeles social media interviewer says he was choked, punched and stabbed in the leg by a group of protesters at the end of Saturday's "No Kings" demonstration in downtown Los Angeles. The man, who goes by Dante and runs the account In The Streets LA, says he believes he was targeted because he interviews people from across the political spectrum. His account has not been independently verified, and no suspects have been publicly identified.

According to FOX 11, the attack happened on October 17 near the Metropolitan Detention Center, as the rally was winding down and a small group of demonstrators remained. Dante says he was choked, punched in the jaw and stabbed in the leg, and that his injuries required medical attention. He says roughly 80% of his content features liberal-leaning voices, but that he has also interviewed MAGA supporters, Zionists and others, and that some protesters turned on him over those interviews. One report said the crowd accused him of being a snitch. He said he is not angry but disappointed, particularly by what he describes as a lack of intervention from members of the press who witnessed the attack.

The Los Angeles Police Department told FOX 11 it has no record of any arrests connected to the incident. Dante has also pushed back on parts of the coverage. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, he accused FOX 11 of leaving out crucial details from his account and of portraying him as an activist betrayed by fellow demonstrators. The reports I found did not say whether a police report was filed or whether anyone has been identified.
